Car Park
Competitors may use the main car park. The Scottish Golf Union and West Kilbride Golf Club cannot accept responsibility for any damage to cars. Please obey the instructions of the car park attendant who will be on duty Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Catering
Coffee and morning rolls will be available from 6.30am. Bar snacks will be available all day until close of play. All catering is at the competitor's expense.

Clubhouse
The clubhouse will be open at 6.00am each day. Competitors, their families and guests are permitted the use of the clubhouse facilities.

In all clubhouse areas and on the course casual wear is acceptable for competitors, but must be smart. THE WEARING OF JEANS, DENIM TROUSERS, SLEEVELESS OR COLLARLESS SHIRTS, SHELL SUITS AND TRAINING SHOES IS NOT PERMITTED. Hats must be removed before entering the Clubhouse.

Competitors shall not be allowed to purchase alcoholic drinks.

MOBILE PHONES MUST BE SWITCHED OFF IN THE CLUBHOUSE, CAR PARK AND ON THE COURSE.

Changing facilities are available in the Gents Locker Rooms. There are no lockers available. There are showers available. Competitors planning to use showers are advised to bring their own towel.

Caddie Cars and Yardage Books
The Professional’s shop has yardage books available for purchase and a limited number of caddie cars for hire.

Course & Play
Competitors must report to the Championship Mobile Office at least 30 minutes prior to their starting times that are shown in the official draw sheet.

Each competitor will be issued with a copy of the local rules, pin positions, pace of play guidelines and bag tag when registering at the Championship Mobile Office.

COMPETITORS MUST REPORT TO THE OFFICIAL STARTER AT THE FIRST TEE 5 MINUTES BEFORE THEY ARE DUE TO PLAY. Competitors are reminded that late arrival at the first tee will result in disqualification as no provision has been made under Rule 6-3.

THE WEARING OF JEANS, DENIM TROUSERS, SHORTS, SLEEVELESS OR COLLARLESS SHIRTS, SHELL SUITS AND TRAINING SHOES IS NOT PERMITTED.

CADDIES ARE NOT PERMITTED AND COMPETITORS ARE REMINDED THAT THEY MUST NOT SEEK OR ACCEPT ADVICE FROM PARENTS, OTHER COMPETITORS OR ANY OTHER PERSON. NB. "Advice" is any counsel or suggestion which could influence a player in determining his play, the choice of a club or the method of making a stroke.

When a match is over, play must stop and the winner report the result of the match to the Championship Office without undue delay.

Etiquette
In the interests of all, each competitor should play without delay, leave a bunker as he would expect to find it, replace divots and repair pitch marks.

Insurance
The entry fee includes cover in respect of competitors' legal liability in the event of injury to another person or damage to a third party property. An excess of £15 will apply.

Practice
The club has very kindly granted courtesy of the course for one practice round prior to the Championship. Practice times are available after 2.00pm on Saturday 3 April. On Sunday 4 April practice will be available between 10.00am and 2.00pm Competitors unable to practice on Saturday 3 or Sunday 4 April may arrange an alternative time by prior arrangement with the Club. Bookings for practice times must be made in advance by telephoning on 01294 823042.

NB: Demand for practice times on Sunday 4 April is expected to be extremely high therefore competitors local to West Kilbride are respectfully asked and encouraged to utilise the practice times on Saturday 3 April.

Additional practice rounds will be charged at the Winter Rate of £12.50.

Each competitor must report to the Professional’s Shop prior to starting his practice round. During the practice round only one ball shall be in play. Players found with more than one ball in play may have their practice round curtailed.

Competitors may use the club's practice facilities where practice balls will be available free of charge.
PRACTICE BALLS MUST NOT BE REMOVED FROM THE RANGE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. ANY PLAYER FOUND GUILTY OF THIS ACTION WILL BE LIABLE TO DISCIPLINARY ACTION BY THE CHAMPIONSHIP COMMITTEE.

Practice Ground opening and closing times are as follows:

Competitors may use the club’s practice facilities outwith these times by supplying own practice balls.

Please note: At busy periods there will be limited bays for practice and priority will be given to players practicing 40 minutes
prior to their start time. The Range Attendant whose instructions must be obeyed at all times will administer this. In addition players are asked to repair their practice area using the sand/seed provided on the practice ground.

The putting green that lies adjacent to the Clubhouse is available for practice putting only. Competitors are prohibited from chipping onto or around this green. The designated greens situated on the practice ground are available for bunker and short game practice.

Alternative practice facilities are available at The Bob Torrance School of Golf at the National Sports Centre in Largs where a Day Pass (£5 per day) or Tournament Pass (£12 for 4 – 10 April inclusive) can be purchased from the main reception. The National Sports Sports Centre can be found at Inverclyde, Burnside Road, Largs, KA30 8RW. Competitors will be responsible for the supply and collection of their own practice balls at this facility. Marshalling will be in place for the week, ensuring safe usage of the golf facility.

Competitors using any of the above practice facilities do so at their own risk.

Presentation
Bronze medals will be presented to the losing Semi-Finalists at the close of play on Friday 9 April. The Championship trophy and Finalist medals will be presented at the close of play on Saturday 10 April. Medal winners are expected to attend the relevant prizegiving.

Responsibility
West Kilbride Golf Club and the Scottish Golf Union cannot accept responsibility for players’ property during the Championship or on the days when practice is permitted.

Directions
From The South
Follow the M6 and M74 North. Turn off at the junction of the A70 ad follow the road through Douglas and Cumnock to Ayr. Join the A77 northwards towards Kilmarnock until you reach the junction of the A78 to Irvine and Greenock. Follow the A78 through Stevenston, Saltcoats and Ardrossan until you reach Seamill (do not follow the sign for West Kilbride.)
As you pass through Seamill you will see the Seamill Hydro Hotel on the left. Now take the 3rd road on the left (Fullerton Road - there is a sign saying Golf Club). The clubhouse is on the right.

From Glasgow
Take the M8 westwards towards Greenock. Leave at Junction 29 and follow the A737 (Johnstone bypass) through Beith and Dalry towards Kilwinning. At the traffic lights take a right (A738) and follow the signs until you join the A78 and proceed northwards until you come to Seamill.
